Whether it’s your first time hearing about this term or you're already well-versed in it, I will explain what biodecoding is about, a relatively new technique that seeks to identify how thought and emotion patterns are linked to the manifestation of diseases. I will also tell you a bit about the history, some easy exercises you can do from the comfort of your home, and we will conclude with a summary of the benefits it brings for human well-being.

What is Biodecoding?

Biodecoding is a therapeutic method that explores the connection between human internal conflicts—usually associated with an emotion or thought—and physical illnesses. Humans are energy, as are our emotional and mental fields. Based on this premise, it makes sense to think that everything we think has an effect (the emotion) on our physical body. Therefore, all of our emotional and mental experiences have an effect on our body as physical sensations or symptoms.

Especially when uncomfortable symptoms appear, healing these conflicts can facilitate recovery. This method should be supported by a traditional medical check-up, as well as changes in eating habits and the implementation of an exercise routine to truly observe and enjoy the positive changes this generates in your temple (body)

History of Biodecoding

Biodecoding has its roots in the work of several pioneers in the field of holistic health and psychology, such as Dr. Hamer, who, after his own experience with cancer and the loss of his son, discovered that emotional trauma can trigger diseases. Later, the French doctor Sabbah integrated concepts from traditional medicine with psychological and spiritual theories, proposing that each illness has an emotional component that, when decoded and understood, can lead to complete healing. Since then, biodecoding has evolved, incorporating elements from other disciplines such as neurolinguistic programming and energy medicine.

Practical Exercises

Below, I will share two easy exercises that you can do at a time that fits best with your schedule. For these exercises, all you need is to be in a comfortable position. Additionally, if you wish, you can add elements to create a calm and relaxing space, such as comfortable clothing, aroma diffusers, a quiet place away from noise, soft lighting, and nature sounds or any sound you prefer.

1) Changing Limiting Beliefs exercise

This exercise works directly with the subconscious beliefs that may be related to a physical ailment.
Choose a symptom or illness that you are experiencing, and reflect on which limiting belief could be related to that discomfort. Examples:
Back pain: 'I have to carry too many responsibilities.'
Digestive problems: 'I can't digest what's happening in my life.'

1.1 Write that limiting belief on a piece of paper. Be as honest as possible with what you truly think or feel.

1.2 Now, write a new positive belief to replace the limiting one. For example:
'I am learning to let go and delegate responsibilities.'
'I accept what happens in my life with tranquility

1.3 Read the new belief out loud and repeat it several times, allowing that affirmation to penetrate your mind and body

1.4 Throughout the day, observe how you feel when you think about the new belief. Do this regularly to help reprogram your subconscious

2) Release Through Forgiveness

Think of a conflict or emotion that you have identified through the previous exercises.
2.1 Write a letter, with no intention of sending it, to the person involved or to yourself, expressing everything you feel about that situation. Be as honest as possible.
2.2 When you have finished, read the letter out loud and feel how you release those repressed emotions.
2.3 Burn the letter as a symbol of liberation and transformation.
